چکیده
Abstract Background Cardiac allograft vasculopathy (CAV) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with orthotopic heart transplantation (OHT). Invasive coronary angiography the traditional method screening for diagnosing CAV. Alternative non-invasive modalities have been sought to screen A small, single-center study utilizing Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography Perfusion Imaging (PET/CT) stress myocardial blood flow (MBF) demonstrated good diagnostic prognostic value Purpose The purpose this was validate proposed algorithm prognosticating CAV by PET/CT MBF large contemporary series. Methods Patients history OHT no prior revascularization transplanted who underwent were included portion study. For MBF, only had within 12 months included. accuracy compared most recent angiogram. composite outcome death, failure hospitalization, acute syndrome, revascularization, re-transplantation used ability MBF. Results 450 scans performed 78 portion. Normal perfusion normal 100% negative predictive moderate-severe angiography. 2/3 positive 69% Over 24 months, there 20 events 39 PET grade versus 21 411 0/1 hazard ratio 13.3 (p<0.001). Conclusions current has excellent along detecting classification associated poor prognosis. Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

Prognostic Value of Stress Myocardial Perfusion Positron Emission Tomography
Results Risk-adjusted hazard of cardiac death increased with each 10% myocardium abnormal with mildly, moderately, or severely abnormal stress PET (hazard ratio [HR]: 2.3 [95% CI: 1.4 to 3.8; p 0.001], HR: 4.2 [95% CI: 2.3 to 7.5; p 0.001], and HR: 4.9 [95% CI: 2.5 to 9.6; p 0.0001], respectively [normal MPI: referent]). Addition of percent myocardium ischemic and percent myocardium scarred to ...
متن کاملAdded prognostic value of myocardial blood flow quantitation in rubidium-82 positron emission tomography imaging.
AIMS We studied the respective added value of the quantitative myocardial blood flow (MBF) and the myocardial flow reserve (MFR) as assessed with (82)Rb positron emission tomography (PET)/CT in predicting major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) in patients with suspected myocardial ischaemia. METHODS AND RESULTS Myocardial perfusion images were analysed semi-quantitatively (SDS, summed di...
متن کاملPrognostic value of Rb-82 positron emission tomography myocardial perfusion imaging in coronary artery bypass patients.
AIMS We sought to determine the prognostic value of positron emission tomography (PET) myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) in patients with prior coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. PET MPI has recently been shown to provide incremental risk stratification for patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD), but the prognostic utility of PET MPI in CABG patients has not been well ...
متن کاملWhat is the prognostic value of myocardial perfusion imaging using rubidium-82 positron emission tomography?
OBJECTIVES The objective was to determine the prognostic value of rubidium-82 (82Rb) positron emission tomography (PET) myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI). BACKGROUND 82Rb PET MPI accurately diagnoses coronary artery disease (CAD). However, there are limited data evaluating its prognostic value. METHODS Follow-up (3.1 +/- 0.9 years) was obtained in 367 patients who underwent dipyridamole 82...
متن کاملPositron emission tomography myocardial perfusion and glucose metabolism imaging.
Cardiac positron emission tomography (PET) imaging is a well-validated, reimbursable means to assess myocardial perfusion, left ventricular (LV) function, and viability. Presently, there is a proliferation of PET and PET/computed tomography (CT) instrumentation as well as an increase in educational programs that specifically address PET and PET/CT imaging. Technologists performing PET scans as ...
